Meet Boris š¾
Boris is a very shy, sensitive boy who is still learning to feel safe in the world around him. New environments and unfamiliar people can be overwhelming, so he prefers to take things slow-observing quietly from a distance until he feels comfortable.
Boris is looking for an incredibly patient and understanding adopter-someone who will give him the time, space, and compassion he needs to come out of his shell at his own pace. While he may not seek out attention right away, Boris is already beginning to show gentle signs of trust in his foster home.
Recently, Boris has started to make small but meaningful progress. He has begun softly meowing in the evenings, showing his quiet voice, and is starting to enjoy gentle brushing on his back-though heās very good and gentle at letting you know when heās had enough. Heās a sweet and respectful boy who communicates his boundaries kindly, often just giving a soft paw if he feels overstimulated.
Boris tends to be more active and adventurous at night, when the house is calm and quiet. He enjoys exploring outside of his room overnight and is becoming more curious about his surroundings, though he will return to his safe space if something startles him. During the day, he prefers to relax in his sanctuary and watch the world go by.
Heās also beginning to build confidence in other ways- heās nowĀ taking treats from his foster, enjoying tasty snacks like tuna tube treats, and has become more comfortable being pet while eating. He enjoys simple pleasures like spring toys and watching out the window, and continues to grow braver with each passing day.
Boris has been respectful around a calm dog and has shown he can coexist peacefully with proper space and boundaries. However, he would do best in a quiet, low-traffic home where he can continue to build confidence without too much pressure. A home without young children would be ideal, as he prefers a calm and predictable environment.
Boris is truly a gentle, sweet soul who just needs someone willing to meet him where heās at. Watching him grow, learn to trust, and slowly come out of his shell will be an incredibly rewarding experience for the right person.
